Basecamp Cafe is a coffee shop located in Bridgend and is a part of K2 Gym. I worked at Basecamp as a barrister and media manager for about 2 years.

Over those two years, I spent a lot of time developing my skills as a product photographer and utilising what we had in the cafe to take aesthetically pleasing and attractive photos to promote our products.

Through doing this, I was also able to make good connections with the local people and regulars of the gym, whom I eventually went on to do work for as well. On top of that, there were the external businesses that supplied us with other products, such as food from Athlete’s Kitchen, cakes and cookies from Cookie.co, and the coffee we used, supplied by Durston’s Coffee.

These were all fantastic opportunities to develop my skills further using different products and photo techniques to promote the cafe.
